As pasture goes through its growth cycle, its nutrient value changes.

The natural process of pasture maturing and drying off decreases both its digestibility and the amount an animal will eat. It creates a double whammy: Your livestock eat less AND the dry pasture they do eat is deficient in energy and protein.

This is the Nutrition Gap – the shortfall between your animals’ nutritional needs and the pasture available at the time.

Re-establishing this balance of energy, protein and minerals can be achieved with a scientifically developed supplementation program before your livestock start going backwards.

Molafos 15

A palatable supplement with 15 % protein, high in molasses (energy), low in urea and with balanced minerals. Slightly more palatable than Molafos 15 S, it’s best suited to dry land pasture (coastal or highland) and younger cattle and sheep.

Molafos 15s

Base chemistry is similar to Molafos 15 (15 % protein, high in molasses, low urea and balanced minerals) but slightly less palatable and with an intake inhibitor to prevent animals from over-consuming. Best for dry land pasture in coastal or highland areas and suited to a wider class of cattle (weaners and breeders) and sheep.

Molafos 20 

Higher protein level – 20% – while retaining molasses, urea and mineral levels. Works well in areas where pasture would be described as sub-tropical (essentially following the wheat belt). Suited to all classes of cattle, Molafos 20 is an excellent way to start a supplement program early in the season.
